Portrait Photography

 

We love capturing your memories and milestones: from the first birthday, prom, graduation, religious events, ceremonies, engagement, wedding, family groups (including pets).  In a good photography the beauty is in the essence of your personality, we strive to bring that essence out of every client we shoot.

 

A good portrait results from being comfortable and forgetting that the camera is even there.  We help you so you relax to get the best possible portrait.

 

We can also help with portraits needed to enhance your career or business (resume  or Social Media).

 

 

 

Planning Your Shoot

  • Ensure you are well rested prior to your shoot – there is nothing worse than being flustered, stressed and posing for a photograph.
  • Most sessions take about one hour.

Dress for Your Portrait Session

  • Outfit selection, will be driven by your purpose
    • Do you have a choice (e.g. uniform or corporate dress code can restrict selection)?
    • Employment specific
    • Formal
    • Business casual
  • Come dressed in your selected outfit, ready for photography.
  • For groups keep the attire consistent and coordinate colors.
  • Solid colors are best, try to avoid large, bold patterns.
  • Consider outfit change(s) to add variety to your sitting.
  • Consider using a professional makeup artist to help get you ready.  Recommendations can be provided upon request (please note makeup is an additional cost).

Location & Backdrops

We come to you, at your home or business.  We provide a range of backdrops which we can help you select in advance, depending on your needs.

Alternatively we can shoot your portrait outside, if you have a special place in mind.  This does bring some additional challenges and scheduling issues in the event of inclement weather.  Precipitation and extreme summer heat are best avoided.
